What do Minecraft Dungeons 2 enchantment books unlock?

A Minecraft Dungeons 2 enchantment book represents an effect you can add to your personal library. That library becomes a selection of options when you visit the Enchantsmith.

Learning an effect and applying it are separate events. Finding a book does not mean that all your equipment immediately receives its effect.

Is a book used up when you enchant?

Published enchanting guides describe books as reusable. Treat the library as retained knowledge rather than a stack of single-use consumables. This does not mean that every application is free: check the displayed point and shard requirements.

Likewise, an effect in your library is not proof that it fits every item. Choose the equipment first and inspect the available options for that piece.

How should you decide which effect to use?

Read the effect’s full conditions and compare them with the attacks, movement or resources your build uses. A known effect that does not support your current equipment is an option for later, not necessarily the next upgrade.

The enchanting guide explains the application process. The enchantment reference gives reported effect examples and explains why the game’s compatibility list takes precedence. This entry does not invent a complete book list, fixed drop rates or guaranteed sources for individual effects.
